They are always fresh, but I don't take them because I feel like they should just be left to die like the person they commemorate.
When I die, I don't want anyone spending their money on flowers. I will totally haunt you if you go and do something as stupid as a floral arrangement. I will poltergeist you if you ever put one of those ribbons on a wreath that says "Mother" or whatever. Oh! Or spell out LORA in carnations. That's the most retardedest thing I've ever seen in my whole entire life.
Spend your guilty money on food and fun and talk about me while you enjoy it.

He grew a big zucchini for the local flower show
And when the story got around they came from far and wide,

He was leaning on the garden gate the other day,
And beckoned to a lady who lives just across the way,
He took her down the garden path and showed it to her with pride,
And when she saw the size of it, the little lady sighed..
