I saw this on Lizzie's blog, and low and behold, I go to see your pics and find one of 12th and Federal Streets.
I had to share with you that I grew up right around the corner. I have some pictures I took years ago that would fit so well. I will have to find them and scan them in and post them on my blog.
I made my husband stop one day on the way home from visiting my mom, who lived on Juniper near 12th and Federal until a few years ago.
I snapped a great pic of the refinery in the background looming over a neighborhood. I have a few of the sun setting behind the refinery.
I called it Urban Art.
You have a soulmate! Those of us who see beauty and oddity in the place we call the city of Brotherly Love.
Robin B -- you don't know Philadelphia. It is filth-adelphia. I grew up there!
When I was kid, the old Italian ladies would scrub their marble steps and clean up every little speck of dirt, and now, you walk around and there is litter everywhere!
Hello, my name is Lora. I have a stealthy camera phone. I took each one of these pictures, but the statements, subjects, views, and opinions expressed in the photos and comments are not necessarily mine.

I don't know--that debris is so dense, so artfully casual I'd be willing to bet a lot of effort was put into it!
Oh, how I miss Philly and all of it's wonderment. Thanks for taking these gems.
